Their debut vehicle KAUN HAI JO SAPNO MEIN AAYA may have gone unnoticed at the box-office, but that hasn’t deterred Ragini and Vibha, two enterprising ladies, to get into film production in a big way.
While SHUKRIYA [director: Anupam Sinha], KUCH DIN KUCH PAL [director: K. Shiva], CHESS [director: Manoj Bhatnagar], TAKE THREE GIRLS [director: Baz Taylor] and NATASHA [director: Jagmohan Mundhra] are slated for release in the coming months, the duo is all geared up to start three more projects.
The first project, titled AMAR JOSHI SHAHID HO GAYA, will be directed by debutante Rajneesh. A spoof on the film industry, it will star Suniel Shetty, Rajpal Yadav, Udita Goswami [PAAP] and Shayan Munshi [JHANKAAR BEATS] in principal roles.
To be shot in a start-to-finish spell from September 12 to October 30, AMAR JOSHI SHAHID HO GAYA will be filmed in Mumbai [partly] and London [extensively].
Vivek Agnihotri, who has directed a number of serials on television, will direct the second venture. Titled CHOCOLATE, the film will star Anil Kapoor and Suniel Shetty [teamed for the first time] along with Arshad Warsi and Irrfan Khan.
A crime thriller with doses of comedy, CHOCOLATE will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule from November 1 to January 5 in London.
Vikram Bhatt will direct the third project, which will have an unusual star cast – Amisha Patel opposite Irrfan Khan, with Dino Morea in a pivotal role. “It’s one genre Vikram hasn’t attempted before,” Ragini informs me.
This film will roll in the last week of January 2005 in Rajasthan, followed by extensive shooting in London. Like Ragini and Vibha’s previous films, this one will also be shot in a start-to-finish spell.
