Audi's dragging' wagon is back, and there's a good chance the new 2013 RS6 Avant will quickly become one of our favorite cars when we lay our hands on it.
However, the new Audi RS 6 Avant doesn't compromise on performance in order to make up for its promised frugality. As the new engine cranks out 552bhp along with a steady 700Nm of peak torque, the power is transmitted to the engine via the 8-speed tiptronic transmission.
The two large twin-scroll turbochargers enable the RS 6 Avant to gather momentum with remarkable intensity. They twin-scroll turbochargers have been mounted together with the intercooler in the inside V of the cylinder banks.
Furthermore, the exhaust side of the cylinder heads is also on the inside, while the intake side is on the outside. This concept not only creates scope for a compact design, but also short gas paths with minimal flow losses.
