The Range Rover line-up now consists of 3 variants, namely, the Range Rover Vogue SE priced at Rs. 1.72 Crore, the Autobiography at Rs. 1.79 Crore and the top end Autobiography petrol version at Rs. 1.84 Crore (Ex-showroom Delhi).
As we already reported, JLR is looking to strengthen its presence in the Indian market and for this they will launch smaller luxury SUVs to compete with the likes of BMW's X1 and Audi's Q3.
The 2013 Range Rover is coming with a turbo diesel engine and a supercharged petrol engine in India.
The 4.4 Litre, V8, turbo diesel engine churns out 338bhp of peak power and 700Nm of peak torque. The other one is a 5.0-Litre, 8 cylinder, V8, supercharged engine, which delivers 510bhp of peak power and 625Nm of peak torque.
Both engines are mated to an 8 speed automatic transmission and come with four wheel drive as standard in all variants along with JLR’s famous and effective Terrain Response system. The diesel powered 2013 Range Rover SUV will be sold in Vogue SE and Autobiography variants while the petrol-powered model will be available in the Autobiography trim.
