Bank employees in agitated mood
Operations of state-owned banks across the country were affected after the employees went on a two-day strike from today protesting the merger among public sector banks and demanding another chance to opt for pension.

Clearing activities and cash transactions of many banks were affected, bank officials said.

”The strike has affected our operations today. Majority of the employees have not turned up for work. There would be a significant business loss because of this,” UCO Bank`s Chairman and Managing Director, S.K. Goel, told PTI here.
