After the two-seater Reva i, it is now time for the four-seater version of the electric car from the native manufacturer, Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd.
Presently known as the Reva E2O, this car has long been called as the Reva NXR.
Assembled at the freshly established Bangalore factory of Reva, this is the first four-wheeler out of the stables of this Mahindra-owned subsidiary.
In the current market-scenario, where fuel prices show no signs of coming down, vehicles powered by alternative forms of energy, that are not only cost-effective but also nature-friendly, are the very thing that is needed.
And Reva E2O, with its 48V, 29kW electric motor, is expected to be the first step in that direction.
Capable of churning out a peak 39.4bhp, this car would be launched in the market with no competition whatsoever.
The only rival expected to be in its path in future is the Nissan Leaf which might enter India soon.
