After its revival, Datsun has introduced its first product in Russia - the On-DO sedan. The Datsun brand is a fully owned subsidiary of Nissan Motor co-operation. The On-DO sedan was developed specifically keeping Russia in mind.
It was designed at the company's Advanced Global Design Center - Japan. The on-Do is not a compact sedan; it is a fully-fledged sedan with an enormous boot. The car measures over 4m in length and shares design aspects with the Go hatchback.
The name On-Do has specific significance - the Japanese word 'Do' signifies 'moving' or 'way' and 'On' in Russian means 'he'. The On-Do name signifies "strength, performance and masculinity" - according to Datsun.
