Kolkata, Feb 8 (IANS) City-based FMCG major Emami Friday reported a 21.64 percent rise in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2012, to Rs.114.95 crore from Rs.94.50 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.
Total income of the group during the period under review has increased to Rs.558.65 crore from Rs.463.90 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.
"Domestic business continued its robust growth in the third quarter also. It grew by 21.7 percent with revenue at Rs.465 crore," the company said in a release here.
International business at Rs.48 crore grew by 25 percent in the third quarter with Bangladesh contributing aggressive growth in the same, it added.
The group's first overseas manufacturing facility started operations in Bangladesh in this quarter.
