Grain futures drop, livestock prices mostly rise

Grain prices dropped Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery fell 1.5 cent to $8.20 a bushel; March corn dropped 3 cents to $7.25 a bushel; March oats were flat at $3.88 a bushel; while January soybeans shed 5 cents to $14.67 a bushel.

Beef futures rose, while pork futures were unchanged on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle rose 0.25 cent to $1.322 a pound; January feeder cattle rose 0.58 cent to $1.5265 a pound; February lean hogs were flat at 84.15 cents a pound.
