Mumbai, Oct 12 (IANS) HDFC Bank Friday posted a net profit of 30 percent at Rs.1,559.98 crore for the quarter ended Sep 30, against Rs.1,199.35 crore during the like period of the previous financial year.
The total income increased to Rs.9,869.77 crore during the quarter under review as compared to Rs.7,929.38 crore in the year ago period, the company said in a statement.
The country's second largest private lender's total balance sheet size increased 19.5 percent from Rs.3,15,746 crore as of Sep 30, 2011 to Rs.3,77,375 crore as of Sep 30, 2012.
Total net advances were Rs.2,31,649 crore, an increase of 22.9 percent.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange, shares of the bank closed 0.94 percent at Rs.630.40.
