HashCache researchers are shown testing their system with some of the low-cost, low-power laptops being targeted for use in developing regions.
The HashCache software uses the externally-attached storage to provide weeks to months of cached Web content.
In typical deployments, one machine per school would be running HashCache in this configuration, and student laptops would not need their own external storage.
