Gurgaon, Nov 21 (IANS) Haryana power authorities have imposed a fine of Rs.5.5 crore on housing society Vatika City here for drawing power beyond sanctioned limit.
The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam imposed the fine after a vigilance wing probe.
DHBVN executive engineer K.C. Aggarwal said Wednesday that the sanctioned load of Vatika City was 2,790 KW and it was allowed only 15 percent of the load for common services.
But the common load of the consumer was found 551.844 KW against sanctioned load of 418.5 KW −− more than 15 percent of the sanctioned load.
Secondly, the amount was being charged according to the domestic power tariff instead of non−domestic tariff since a year.
