The Indian Institute of Management, (IIM)-Tiruchirapalli, started in January 2011, has launched its satellite campus in Chennai to offer various courses from the city.
The facility has two 60-seat classrooms, one each 40-seat classroom, 25-seat classroom and one 15-seat conference hall, two 7-seat meeting rooms, eight faculty and administrative offices, one 15-seat computer lab, and a library. The Learning Resource Centre (library) will be further augmented with additions to its growing collection.
To begin with, the Chennai centre would offer Post Graduate Programme in Business Management (PGPBM).
The institute would also utilise this centre to offer short-term executive education (Management Development Programmes) as well as certification programmes.
In addition, the centre would also serve as a convenient platform to conduct placement-related activities for its two-year programme at Trichy.
IIM Tiruchirappalli commenced the inaugural batch of its 3-year PGPBM for working executives in at its Chennai centre in August 2012. The facility would offer more courses in future.
