Chairman and Managing Director of Indian Overseas Bank, M. Narendra, has been selected for this year's prestigious T.A. Pai memorial 'Best Banker' award instituted by 'Dehali Kannadiga', a Kannada monthly published from Delhi.
The editor of 'Dehali Kannadiga', M.B Samaga, announcing this here today said the award including a citation and a plaque will be given to Narendra for his distinguished contribution to the banking field at the 30th National Kannada Sammelana to be held in the national capital on April 6, 2013.
The bankers, who have earned this award in the past, include Punjab National Bank chairman K.R. Kamath, Bank of Baroda chairmans M.D. Mally and P.S. Shenoy, Syndicate Bank chairmans C.P. Swarnakar and D.T. Pai, Oriental Bank of Commerce chairmans K.N. Pruthviraj and T.Y. Prabhu, ICICI MD K.V. Kamath, IDBI chairman V.P. Shetty, Karnataka Bank Ltd. chairmans M.S. Krishna Bhat and Anantha Krishna, Bank of India chairman T.S. Narayana Sami, Canara Bank chairman R.V. Shastri and Andhra Bank chairman T.J.A Ganiga. (ANI)
