Getting the heat from the recent launches in the ever growing compact monocoque construction SUV space, Mahindra launched an entry level variant of XUV 500 known as Mahindra XUV 500 W4 at lesser price. Nissan debuted the Renault Duster based Terrano recently; which is a premium offering compared to Duster and falls in the price range of XUV 500. XUV 500 is one of the most successful products for our home grown auto maker, and it is sold across the globe, doing very well in terms of sales and satisfaction.
Even in India XUV 500 is doing pretty good. According to the Mahindra officials there are over 74000 cars on road since its launch two years back. The new W4 variant of the car is priced competitively at 10.83 lakhs (EX-showroom Mumbai). Mahindra even addressed the customer feedbacks and reviews, rectifying most of the shortcomings of the XUV 500 including braking issues, infotainment issues and more.
