The Union Budget 2010-11, which is to be presented on February 26, assumes significance on the backdrop of rising inflation rate, galloping food prices and widening fiscal deficit.

Just one month ahead of the Budget, a few names were cleared by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet, headed by the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, to assist Pranab on meeting the challenges.
