Lucie Vondrackova is an accomplished singer and actress from the Czech Republic who had an international hit with the pop song "Strach." She released albums all throughout the 1990s and 2000s and found time to star in dozens of Czech television shows and stage productions, including Shakespeare's "Othello" and "Romeo and Juliet," in which she had leading roles.

Vondrackova is married to Tomas Plekanec, a fellow Czech who plays for the Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League. In 2010, he signed a $30 million deal to stay with the team for another six years.
