New Delhi, Nov 24 (IANS) There is a need to develop new and renewable energy sources in Delhi, Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit said here Saturday.
The only possible renewable energy options in Delhi are solar and waste−to−energy projects as Delhi does not have the potential to harness wind energy according to wind resource assessment data, she said.
Dikshit handed over an one kilo−watt solar power system to Kendriya Sarkari Karmchari Awas Kalayn Samiti and Central Government Employees Residential Welfare Association here.
