LG DV 388
To call it average would be a misnomer, but it isn't the best in the beat either. Its glossy face and subtle use of chrome helps jazz up the otherwise plain look. The volume knob, an interesting addition - does its bit to perk up the classic feel.
A USB port comes as a pleasant surprise, until you discover that it supports flash drives only. No external hard drives for this one, alas! A well-laid buffet remote and simple menu interface make it easy to spin this player. Colours are rendered quite faithfully, but over-saturate in bright scenes. Long story short, the LG DV388 does nearly everything right, but just not enough to get your attention, and hold it too.
