The Nifty closed at 5959.10, down 28.15 points or 0.47%.
FMCG, consumer durables and power stocks declined.
Metal, bank and oil stocks too mostly ended lower.
Capital goods stocks traded lower as well.
Realty, automobile and IT stocks found modest support at lower levels.
Healthcare stocks had a fairly good outing.
Midcap and smallcap stocks mostly traded lower.
The market breadth was weak.
