On good news, markets don't move up and on bad news they don't fall. For the first time since April 1993, the IIP numbers have turned negative and I believe we need to sit up and take note. But our markets, which were down on overseas cues, rallied after the announcement and recovered all lost ground to actually close in the positive territory. Inflation continues to fall and we can now heave a sigh of relief.
Major factors like fall in the prices of petrol and diesel, easing interest rates and package for industrial growth helped the markets to gain.
