The stock markets were volatile last week with the BSE Sensex touching a high of 10570 and a low of 9267, a range of 1303 points. Similarly, the 50-stock Nifty saw a high of 3161 and a low of 2778, a range of 383 points against 380 points last week.
The biggest sectoral losers were the BSE Capital goods index, which lost 684 points or 8.96% to close at 6951 and the BSE Auto index, which lost 222 points or 8.35% to close at 2439.
