Strong sales

India is now a world winner when it comes to manufacturing of small cars.

For the first time India has surpassed China as Asia's biggest automobile exporter and South Korea's Hyundai Motors already accounts for half of this. The extended festival season has resulted in good sales for the month of October, which clocked three-year best.

While October is also the ninth straight month of growth in car sales, Hyundai sales rose 41% to 28,301 units. Analysts tracking the industry say demand is expected to continue to show up in sales during the coming months also.

Strong vendor base, low cost of manufacturing and the government subsidies are the main factors fuelling the growth of small cars in India. The company, which already enjoyed significant growth across the UK and Europe, is now celebrating similar success in India with its impressive line up of vehicles.
