Kolkata, Oct 13 (IANS) Taiwan-based television-maker AOC TV is eyeing sales of a million flat panel TVs in India in 2013, a top company executive said Saturday.
The firm is aiming to sell 300,000 units of flat panel television in the current year.
AOC is the international brand of TPV Technology Limited, a $12 billion business conglomerate. TPV group designs and manufactures a wide range of LED and LCD displays for global distribution.
"We are expecting to sell a total of 300,000 units of LCD and LED TVs this year in India. And we are also aiming to sell 10,00,000 units in the next year," Seema T. Bhatnagar, director AOC TV, India and SAARC, said on the occasion of opening the company's first exclusive brand shop in Kolkata.
The company now possesses three percent market share in the flat panel segment.
Bhatnagar said by the end of next year the television maker was expecting to achieve a market share of 10 percent in the segment in the country.
The company would open a total of 150 brand shops across the country, she said.
