Bangalore, March 14 (IANS) Apollo Health & Lifestyle Thursday opened an exclusive clinic in this tech hub to offer healthcare services to residents in an upscale suburb near here, a company official said.
As part of its integrated chain of clinics, the hi-tech facility at Sarjapur, 20 km from the city centre, will provide specialist consultation, diagnostics, preventive health checks and 24-hour pharmacy.
Located in the south-east IT corridor of the city, the well-equipped clinic will have a team of nurses and physicians to meet needs of each patient and provide value added services like counselling.
"As the bustling (Sarjapur) suburb has become a micro market with hundreds of residential apartments, the clinic will cater to the needs of its growing populace with a compassionate team of doctors and nurses," Apollo executive director Sangitha Reddy said on the occasion.
The Chennai-based healthcare major is already operating 91 such hi-tech clinics across the country.
A panel of visiting consultants comprising experts in various specialties is a part of the clinic to provide each patient with need-based healthcare services.
"We have kept the wellbeing of patients as a high priority to offer better services and facilities through our clinics, which are located closer to people," Reddy observed.
Britannia Industries Ltd. managing director Vinita Bali, who unveiled the clinic, said Apollo Clinics have grown to be synonymous with reliable medical care and health services.
The three decade old Apollo Hospitals group has 8,500 beds in 54 hospitals, 1,200 pharmacies and 100 diagnostic clinics, medical business process out-sourcing services, health insurance services and clinical research divisions across the country.
