Mobile video and consumer electronics maker Audiovox Corp. said Tuesday it has acquired Invision Industries Inc., a maker of entertainment systems for backseat passengers.
Terms of the deal weren't released.
Audiovox said the purchase brings research and development capabilities, a manufacturing plant and support team. It is expected to add to the company's profits in fiscal 2011.
Invision will report to Tom Malone, president of Audiovox Electronics Corp., and will continue to operate out of its existing facilities in Florida.
Company shares added 8 cents to close at $6.60.
