Aurobindo gets tentative US FDA nod for migraine drug

Mumbai: Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has announced on Friday that it has received tentative approval from the US Food & Drug Administration (US FDA) to manufacture and market sumatriptan succinate tablets of 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg strengths.

Sumatriptan succinate tablets are the generic equivalent of GlaxoSmithKline's Imitrex(R) tablets, which are indicated for the treatment of acute migraines.
