New Delhi Spark Minda the auto component maker opened a new technical centre in Pune at a cost of Rs 60 crore. The company, an Ashok Minda Group will have a facility of nearly 40,000 square feet that is expected to accommodate close to 400 employees.
According to company officials, the new technical center which took over a year to build, will foster technology development journey of existing group businesses and enable their initiatives towards electronification.
The facility will also strive to strengthen and expand the groups presence in automotive systems area as a complete system solution provider, the company said.
Ashok Minda, the CEO at the company said, "Establishment of SMTC is a significant step to propel us towards attaining technology leadership in automotive sub systems domain."
The centre will have an EMI-EMC (Electromagnetic Interference and Electromagnetic Compatibility) test facility to cater to complete suite of design and product validation tests.
