Is your ride back from office even more tiresome than your entire day? Then Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT) will surely be a bliss for you. The missing third pedal can be a big relief in bumper-to-bumper traffic, letting you relax your left foot. Besides being lighter on your pocket AMT also gives as much efficiency as its manual counterpart.
Maruti Celerio, the first car to have the revolutionary gearbox in India, created history with the car clocking more than 32,000 bookings, with more than half of them for the AMT version. Other manufactures, such as Tata Motors and Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), are also looking at this technology. So, will AMT make manual transmission a thing of the past?
