Chandigarh: Barbeque Nation, a restaurant business initiative of Indore-based Sayaji Hotels Ltd, today announced to pump in Rs 100 crore for opening 35 new outlets in major cities of the country within a year, with an aim to reach Rs 250 crore turnover mark.
"We will invest Rs 100 crore for opening 35 more restaurants across the country as part of our initiative to have pan India presence," Barbeque Nation wholly-owned subsidiary of Sayaji Hotels CEO, Prosenjit Roy Chowdhury told reporters on Friday.
"Post expansion, we are targeting to achieve a turnover of Rs 250 crore from restaurant business," he added.
Amongst major cities, where the company is keen to have presence are Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Baroda, Kolkata and Thane.
Presently, it has restaurants in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Gurgaon and Delhi.
Besides, the company is also mulling to open its restaurants in Dubai, United Kingdom and Singapore. "We have plans to open restaurants in foreign countries, but only after strengthening our position in the Indian market," he said during the inauguration of its eighth restaurant.
