Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) today reported a marginal growth of 2% in net profit for the third quarter ended December, 2011 at Rs 1,433 crore as compared to Rs 1,403 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Net sales during the period increased 19% to Rs 10,548 crore as against Rs 8,849 crore in the same quarter last year.

Total Income increased to Rs 10,939 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 from Rs 9,176 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
At market closing, the shares of the company ended down by 2.8% at Rs 273.65 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
