CII’s CFO Summit to be held on 3 December 2011 in Mumbai

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India:CII announces its 7th national flagship Conference for the Chief Financial Officers and Finance Heads - The CFO Summit on 3 December 2011 at Taj President - Vivanta, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai.

The theme of the Conference is ‘Changing Dynamics of Finance Leadership’.

The role of the CFO has undergone significant changes with some of the biggest changes taking place in the last decade. Businesses have grappled with a range of developments in the economic and regulatory environment since the late 1990s. In light of recent global uncertainty, shorter business cycles and new regulatory changes it is not surprising that the CFO’s role is often far from easy or predictable.

After the six successful editions, the 7th edition of the CII CFO Summit will be focusing on the role of today’s CFO’s, which is more complex and challenging than ever, as he or she is expected to make significant contributions in three key areas:

-- Providing strategic business advice and guidance to the CEO
-- Ensuring the cost efficiency of the finance and accounting function
-- Improving the company’s organizational controls to comply with new regulations
