Coffee Day gets net profit up by 13%, and revenue up by 17% in its latest quarter results

Coffee Brewer Cafe Coffee Day's (CCD) gross revenues are up by 17% on a y-o-y basis at Rs 11006 million for the quarter ending June 2018.

CCD posted it's un-audited financial results on Thursday.

EBITDA is up by 8% at Rs 2019 million while net profit went up by 13% at Rs 170 million.

Here are some of the noteworthy numbers from the exchange filings:

1. Revenue from operations: Rs 9791 million. The coffee-maker made Rs 8143 million in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

2. Total income stood at Rs 10028 million.

3. Total expenses have ballooned to Rs 9943 million from Rs 8106 million a year ago.

Among segmented revenues the growth has been majorly in the Financial Services segment. Coffee and related business contributed the largest- Rs 5210 million of the total gross revenue. In the corresponding quarter a year ago, coffee and related business contributed Rs 5173 million.

Revenues on Integrated multi-modal logistics (Rs 3692 million) and Financial Services (Rs 1482 million) have increased from the corresponding quarters.

The announcement came after close of trading hours. The stock after Thursday's closure of business had been trading at Rs 271.95 per share on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
