Srikkant"If you want to be successful, you have to be creative. Innovation is key for entrepreneurs." These were the words from Kris Srikkant, Former captain of the Indian cricket team, and an entrepreneur by himself.

'Indian entrepreneurs don't dare to dream big'

He was addressing a group of entrepreneurs at the TiECon 2009 conclave on a panel discussion "Entrepreneurship lessons from sports, media and entertainment sectors."

Cricket has seen rapid transformation over the years - from five-day game to 50-overs game and now 20-20. Similarly, creativity is essential for entrepreneurs, he said.

Srikkant also urged entrepreneurs to follow three basic principles: believing in oneself, passion for the job and the right decision-making. This will enable entrepreneurs to achieve their goals.

Srikkant wants entrepreneurs to take cues from Sachin, and he cited how Sachin Tendulkar is performing his job with passion.

"Entrepreneurship is not without challenges. You can overcome the challenges if you perform your job with heart and soul. Think through your heart," Srikkant urged entrepreneurs.
