Tata Motors gave the world its cheapest car in the form of Nano.
While the car did not become the raging success it was expected to be, it still set the benchmark when it came to what could be done under Rs 2 lakhs.
The new Gen X Nano, launched in 2015, remains India's cheapest car with the Nano XE (Manual version) costing a little over Rs 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Powered by a 624cc engine, the manual variant of the GenX Nano also claims to offer a mileage of 25.3 km/litre, while the automatic version claims to offer 21.9 km/litre.
You can choose between Manual Transmission (Petrol or CNG) and Easy Shift - Automated Manual Transmission (AMT - Petrol) variants.
