Hyderabad: Keshab Panda, a top executive in Mahindra Satyam, has quit. He was responsible for the key area of Business Development and Delivery Operations for the Americas.
Considered to be a Ramalinga Raju man, his quitting has put to rest weeks of speculation.
"Panda, who was working along with Rakesh Soni (who is responsible for delivery of the same segments for the Americas), has decided to pursue other interests outside the company," a company statement said.
Soni, Chief Operating Officer, has been asked to take care of the job handled by Panda.

Sources in the company said that the 'two-in-a-box' model introduced by Tech Mahindra might be a trigger for some top executives from the Raju regime to quit. A top Mahindra Satyam official, however, brushed this allegation aside, saying that the two-in-a-box model was, in fact, to bring more pressure on the staff to deliver, as it got rid of duplication of work.
"Panda had expressed his desire to resign a few weeks ago. But he was asked to stay back till the new organisational structure was put in place," the official said.
