'Globalisation must benefit all'

Chennai: India is one of the fastest growing economies of the world, said Anand Sharma, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Chairman of the Partnership Summit 2010.

Addressing the inaugural session of the summit, Sharma said globalisation must benefit all sections of the society.
"Wealth must be created through globalisation and it must be redistributed. Otherwise, it'll be a zero sum game," the Minister said.
In science & technology and information technology, India has moved to a higher position than its global peers, Sharma said, adding that India is remerging as a global powerhouse.
The Minister cited that India remains an attractive destination for investments after the United States and China.
Business delegates from over 20 countries are taking part in The Partnership Summit being held at the Chennai Trade Centre.
