Kolkata, Nov 3 (IANS) The India International Tea Convention in Goa next week would focus on branding and marketing of Indian tea, an Indian Tea Association (ITA) official said Saturday.
"Focus of the conference will be on the front-end and on issues relating to marketing and branding of Indian tea," ITA vice-chairman Arun N. Singh said.
India International Tea Convention (IITC) has acquired the status of a premier event in the global tea calendar as it brings together a cross-section of tea fraternity both within India and overseas.
The last two IITCs were organised in Guwahati and Kochi in 2007 and 2009 respectively.
The three-day event, starting Nov 7, is being organised by the Consultative Committee of Plantation Associations (CCPA), the apex organisation of tea producer associations in India, the world's second largest tea producer after China.
