India gold futures struck a fresh record high of Rs 17,499 per 10 grams tracking strong international markets and on safe-haven buying. At 10:01 a.m., the December contract was trading at Rs 17,485, up 0.55 per cent.
The contract surpassed the last record high of Rs 17,394, struck on Nov. 21.
