Gurgaon, Feb 28 (IANS) Members of Hero Motocorp Ltd. workers' union Thursday sat on fast-unto-death at the main gate of the company here, demanding the settlement of a three-year wage accord, a union leader said.
Five union leaders, including president Kamalpreet Singh, executive president Naresh Kumar, treasurer Isham Singh, secretary Baapen, staged the sit-in, union general secretary Bhim Rao said.
Sadar police station chief Sajjan Singh said the security in the area has been increased and a permanent police vehicle deployed at the spot.
The agitators said work in all three shifts at the plant would continue normally.
