HMSI increases investment for Karnataka plant

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), the 100 per cent subsidiary of Honda Motor Company, Japan, which is building its third two-wheelers manufacturing plant at Narasapura Industrial Area in Kolar district near Bangalore, has revised its investment plan upwards by adding another Rs 1,400 crore. With this its investment in Karnataka project would touch Rs 2,750 crore.

With the rise in investment, the capacity in the third plant would be 3 million units per annum, a senior minister in the state government said.
