n the overcrowded Indian auto industry, manufacturers are jostling with each other to remain on top. New launches are occurring regularly with an aim to ramp-up brand value and boost sales.
The task becomes all the more difficult when competing against experienced players. Such is the case with Honda Mobilio, which was launched a few days back.
From day one of its unveiling, it has been considered a strong contender against Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
We have pitched them against each other in the comparison below. Let's see if the Mobilio can outshine the Ertiga.Design and style
The Mobilio is based on the Brio's platform and follows the company's new 'EXICTING H DESIGN!!!' philosophy.
The front profile is reminiscent to Brio and sports a large grille framework with thick chrome slat connecting the angular headlights, looking more robust than the Ertiga.
The side is aerodynamic with a floating roof while the 15-inch alloy wheels give the Mobilio a sporty stance. The rear contains faux LED taillight cluster inherited from the City sedan.
Maruti Ertiga which was launched two years back continues to grow with strong brand identity and low cost of ownership.
Just like the Mobilio, it is also based on sibling hatch platforms, where the front, with swept-back headlights, reminds us of Swift while the pierced grille and curvy bonnet is taken from the Ritz hatchback.
The Ertiga also has 15-inch alloys while the rear portion is less appealing and more focused on cost cutting. Overall, Ertiga is good on styling but appears less trendy and muscular in comparison to theMobilio
