Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) has awarded diploma to 581 students, enrolled at its Lucknow and Noida campuses.
Those graduating include 381 students from the 27th batch of Post-Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management, 19 from the eighth batch of PGP in Agri-business Management (ABM) and six from the doctoral programme. Besides, 109 students from PGP in Management for Working Executives and 67 from International Programme in Management for Executives at the Noida campus received diploma.
Mayank Khulbe was awarded the Chairman's Gold Medal, Harsh Bansal received the Director's Medal, and Neha Malhan got the Reshma Sareen Memorial Medal for Best Girl Student. Union Human Resource Development Minister M M Pallam Raju was the chief guest at the ceremony yesterday.
IIM-L Director Devi Singh said the institute's finances continued to improve even without government grants.
During the academic year 2012-13, IIM-L recognised research and consultancy as a key area, driving several socially-relevant research and consultancy projects in agriculture, entrepreneurship, and health management.
