India is set to produce a record 88.31 million tonnes of wheat in 2012, Farm Minister Sharad Pawar said on Friday, with recent coldwaves helping the growth of the crop.

Early this month, the farm ministry in its second foodgrain production estimate projected a similar output for the main winter season crop.
