India starts process to cancel VVIP chopper deal

New Delhi, Feb 15 (IANS) The Indian government Friday began the process to cancel the contract for 12 VVIP choppers with Italian firm Finmecannica following allegations of corruption in the deal.

The ministry of defence also issued a formal show cause notice to AgustaWestland, the manufacturer of the choppers, said a statement here.
