India's front-month gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (MCX) hit a new high at Rs 16,248 ($345.7) per 10 grams on Tuesday on the back of firm overseas markets.
The previous record for the December contract was Rs 16,173 on Monday.
