Infrastructure output up 2.2% in Feb

New Delhi: India's infrastructure sector output grew 2.2 per cent in February from a year earlier, above an upwardly revised 1.5 per cent in January, government data showed on Friday.

Output rose an annual 7 per cent in February 2008, and in the 2007/08 fiscal year it rose 5.6 per cent.

The infrastructure sector accounts for 26.7 per cent of India's industrial output.
