The Naresh Goyal-owned Jet Airways, India's second-largest airline group, has put 20 lakh domestic air tickets in the economy class - on both Jet Airways and JetKonnect - for sale at Rs 2250 for travel anytime till December 31 this year.
The tickets, though, have to be booked between February 19 and February 24.
"Experience India's biggest air ticket sale with 20 lakh seats on over 450 daily flights across 57 cities within India," Jet said on its website Tuesday morning while flagging off the sale.
Jet's announcement comes just a month after the Kalanithi Maran-owned airline SpiceJet on January 11 announced the sale of 10 lakh seats at Rs 2013 for travel between February and April, which could be booked over three days.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the country's aviation regulator, had frowned upon that sale, which it feared could be harmful to the financials of other airlines, and had requested others not to join in.
Jet shares jumped by as much as 3.2% post the announcement.
