Jhunjhunwala buys 2.5 mn SpiceJet shares

Ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala picked up 2.5 million shares of SpiceJet in a bulk deal. The transaction valued at Rs 7.69 crore was carried out by Jhunjhunwala's company, Rare Enterprises, at a purchase price of Rs 30.77 a share. SpiceJet stock rose by Rs 5.65 - a gain of 22 per cent to close at Rs 30.85 on Monday. The Maran family owns 43.59 per cent shares of the airline.
