Kolkata, Nov 2 (IANS) JK Paper is eyeing consolidation of its position in the copier paper business by clocking a market share of 34 percent by the end of next fiscal, a top company executive said Friday.
"We are number one in copier paper segment. We want to further consolidate our position in copier paper market," vice president (Marketing & Sales- Paper) A.K. Ghosh told reporters here.
"Currently our market share in copier segment is 28 percent. After the expansion process of our Odisha plant, the market share will go up to 34 percent by the end of 2013-14," Ghosh said.
The company has two paper plants in Odisha and Gujarat, with a combined manufacturing capacity of 2,94,000 tonnes per annum.
The firm is presently carrying out an expansion of its Odisha plant, which is expected to be completed during the first quarter of the next financial year.
"After expansion, our total production, combining two plants, would be 455,000 tonnes per annum," said Ghosh.
The 5,55,000 tonnes Indian copier market was growing at the rate of about 10 percent annually, he added.
