Washington: Video games are surely one of the most exciting things in the lives of players, but did you know you could get rich fast by playing titles online?

Some of the world's biggest videogame publishers such as Electronic Arts Inc., Activision Blizzard Inc., Ubisoft Entertainment SA, and Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., are paying up to USD 50,000/hour to players who play their latest releases live on the Internet, WSJ report notes.

By paying hefty money, the game developers are hoping to ride on the popularity of these game influencers to garner more buyers and lift sales.
